She cries as he boards the train for that long goodbye
Standing on the platform
She watches with sadness in her eyes as he looks her way through the train's window
She cries
Leaving the salty sea air of that coastal town on that eastbound train, he thinks of their wonderful life together
His hand pressed against the window
Their eyes deeply locked
She cries
They talk on the phone awaiting the train's departure, drying their eyes and confessing their love for one another
as they have done many times before
She anxiously waits his return, each day more painful; a pain that never hides
She cries
